Ray Edward Keith, Sr, 71, of 212 Edgewood Drive, went to be with the Lord Friday June 6, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Keith was born in Greenville, a son of the late Richard Keith, Sr. and Hattie Price Keith. He earned an Associates Degree from Greenville Tech and was a 30 year employee and retired from General Electric in Greenville. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and a faithful member of Tremont Church of God where he served as President of the Sr. Adult Men's Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife, Shelby Davis Keith, of the home ; a son, Ray "Buddy" Edward Keith, Jr. and his wife, Vickie, of Taylors ; two daughters, Donna Pyeatt and her husband, Barry, of Taylors and Cindy Stonell and her husband, Michael, of Greenville ; brothers, James Keith and his wife, Lena, of Simpsonville, Richard Keith, Jr. and his wife, Jan, of Greer and David Keith and his wife, Sally, of Easley ; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Tremont Church of God. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 12:30 PM unitl 2:00 PM Monday, prior to the service at the church.
Members of the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class from Tremont Church of God will serve as Honorary Escort for the service.
