Ray Stephens

January 12, 1946 — December 30, 2007

Wilton Ray Stephens, 61, husband of Deborah VanHorn Stephens, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at his residence. A native of Central, he was the son of the late Charles Lestor and Alma Lorene Whittle Stephens. He was a retired truck driver for Bi-Lo and was a member of Prayer Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Matthew Stephens and his wife Brittany of Liberty; daughters, Patsy Lyn Rogers and her husband Carl of Seneca and Nicole Parson and her husband Jason of Liberty; brothers, Tommy Stephens of Six Mile and J.D. Stephens of Piedmont; sisters, Margaret Crane of Central, Charlene Hatfield of Liberty and Alma Kelley of Norris; and grandchildren: Emily and Haley Parson and Luke Stephens. He was predeceased by brothers: Howard, Larry and Frank Stephens.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm at Prayer Baptist Church in Norris with burial to follow in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Norris. The body is at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm and will be placed in the church on Thursday at 1pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Victoria's Valley Home and Academy, 140 Victoria's Valley Drive, Sunset, SC 29685.
