Raymond Carl (Buddy) Hardy, 76, of 124 Boggs Road, died Friday, September 11, 2009.
Mr. Hardy was born in Pickens County and was a son of the late Clarence Alfred and Lizzie Mae Gaines Hardy. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hardy is survived by six daughters, Cynthia Marcus and Ann Barrett, both of Easley, Donna Lane of Marion, Sandra Moore, Patricia Goss and Grace Ann McAlister all of Central; three brothers, Kenneth Hardy of Liberty, Jerry Hardy of Central and Douglas Hardy of Pickens; three sisters, Ruth Waldrop and Judy Messer, both of Liberty and Barbara Jean Chapman of Central; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hardy was predeceased his wife, Grace Ruvell Hardy and a brother, Jimmy Hardy.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery in Liberty.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
The family is at the home.
