Raymond Edward Medlin, 71, of 155 Lumber Mill Road, died Monday, November 17, 2008, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, the son of the late Joseph Harley and Theny O. Landers Medlin, Mr. Medlin retired from Sheriff Lumber Company and was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Gary Medlin of Easley, Eddie Medlin, Joey Medlin and Jason Medlin all of Pickens; two daughters, Rachel Medlin of Marietta, and Tracy Masters of Pickens; a daughter-in-law Wanda Medlin of Easley; a brother, Joe Medlin of Easley and a sister, Grace Goss of Pickens; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, J.T. and Jim Medlin and a sister, Corrine Headon.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pumpkintown.
Visitation will be from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
