Easley
Raymond J. Raines, 69, of Easley, husband of Sue Gantt-Powell Raines, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Roy and Otis Lillian Hunter Raines, Mr. Raines retired from Alice Manufacturing Company and was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Greg Raines (Daune), Anthony Raines (Rita) and Fred Powell; two daughters, Tammy Kelley (Jack) and Jane Turner (Keith); a brother, James Raines; three sisters, Ruby Hayes, Florence Couch and Peggy Noblitt; and seven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Raines was predeceased by a son, David Powell and a brother, Preston Raines.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
