Raymond Taylor, 66, of 156 N. Charles Drive and husband of Sylvia Wyatt Taylor, passed away Friday June 1, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.
Mr. Taylor was born in Greenville, a son of the late Major and Elizabeth Hembree Taylor.He retired from G & P Trucking Company and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Melvin Todd Taylor and his wife, Jennifer, of Greenville; a daughter, Casey Jean Taylor, of Greenville; a brother, David Odell Taylor, of Pickens; sisters, Sara Broadwater, of Piedmont and Brenda Lee Bowers and her husband, Ronnie, of Greenville; 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Lee Taylor and brothers, Junior Taylor and Steve Rochester.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with the Reverend Ronnie Williams and the Reverend Jimmy Tarrant officiating. Entombment will follow in the Robinson Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
