Rebecca Smith Rodgers, 58, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home in Central, SC. She was born in Anderson, a daughter of Fred and Eleanor Harris Smith.
Becky was a graduate of Clemson University and retired as a research specialist in the Agriculture Department at Clemson. She loved rocks. She loved flowers. She loved the river. She loved to hang out and she especially loved to travel. Becky's family was so important to her. She and her husband, Eric were married for over thirty years. Becky loved her friends and was so proud of her children, Heather and Forest. She spent countless hours collecting rocks and building beautiful walls, steps, paths and gardens around her property. She was an artist with her stonework and her flowers. Becky lived life to the fullest and the world was a brighter place because of her endless spirit.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eric; daughter, Heather; son, Forest; granddaughter, River; three sisters, Kathy Overstreet, Tricia Duelfer, and her twin, Debbie Fowler.
A memorial service to celebrate Becky's life will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 10 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central.
The family will receive friends at 5:30 PM until prior to the service.
Everyone attending is encouraged to wear tie-dye or purple clothing to help celebrate Becky's never-ending spirit.
