REGINALD JUSTIN BERRY,
- Central
Bells were ringing, music was playing and the angels were dancing as one of God's
most precious creations, Reginald J. Berry, stepped into Heaven. His fight was over, his race was won, as he had attained the coveted prize of eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As he entered heaven, his precious wife, Nina, who had gone on before him was standing there in unspeakable joy to finally see her darling Reggie again as they wait on us to join them one day.
Reginald J. Berry's life was one of integrity, honesty, goodness, generosity, kindness, love for his family, and most of all, love for his Lord. His quiet and gentle spirit endeared him to anyone who ever had the honor of knowing him. The legacy he left will be carried on through his children who have been blessed beyond measure to have had this incredible man for their father.
He is survived by sons: LaFoy and wife Bobbye of Walnut Cove, NC, Lance and wife Nancy of Plymouth, MA and Stephen and wife Becky of Bristol, TN; daughters: Pat Johnson and husband Frank of Atlanta, GA, Marcia Collins of Westminster, SC and her special friend, David Gillespie of Walhalla, SC and Elizabeth (Bess) Redfearn and husband Chris of Waxhaw, NC; eight grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild; brother Hugh and wife Pat of Charleston, SC and his extended family of wonderful and loving caregivers that helped to add so much quality to his last years and a warm and grateful 'Thank You' to the little 'angels' at the Cottingham Hospice House. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Nina LaFoy Berry, parents, Lee and Justine Berry of Smoaks, SC and numerous brothers and sisters.
