Rheba Summey Kelly, 90, widow of Robert C. Kelly I, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Seneca Health and Rehab in Seneca, SC. A native of Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Edward and Jessie Powell Summey. She was an active and long-time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition she was a skilled seamstress and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a son, Richard S. Kelly and his wife Loretta of Central, sisters, Hazel Kitchens of Balsam Grove, NC and Louise Sharp of Gordon, GA, grandchildren, Rhonda Sons of Easley, Michelle Hutchings of Central, Robert C. Kelly III of Seneca and Marti Kelly of Anderson. She was predeceased by her son Robert C. Kelly II, brothers Lester, Edwin, Freddie, Glen, Leon, Pat and Brandon Summey and sister Maggie Rampey.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Kelly Cemetery. The body is at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm and will be placed in the church on Tuesday at 10am.
