Richard Gale (Rick) Burgett, 54, of 12 Chippewa Court, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Decatur, IL, son of the late Fred F. and Flossie Johnson Burgett. He earned a BS degree in Geology from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL in 1978. He graduated from McArthur High School in Decatur, IL in 1973 and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Decatur. He was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity.
Following graduation from college, Rick's work was in oil and gas exploration and as a trust officer with Liberty National Bank in Oklahoma City and other financial institutions in Illinois, Florida and Arkansas.
Surviving are his wife, Dr. Irina Viktorova of Seneca, SC and the Clemson University Mathematical Sciences Department; children Thomas Clark Burgett, Christin Leigh Burgett, Claire Marie Burgett all of Oklahoma City, OK; and a grandson, Kash Pedigo; a brother, Frederick Johnson Burgett of Clemson; sisters, Frances Burgett Huston of Littleton, CO and Laura Burgett Martin of Dallas, TX.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
