Richard Bryan “Richie” King, 56, of Taylors, South Carolina, passed away on March 20, 2026.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was a son of Louie Bryan King, Jr. and the late Emelda Louise “Lou” King. Richie was a proud graduate of Wren High School and a devoted Clemson fan who rarely missed a Tiger Tailgate. He was old school at heart, valuing tradition, hard work, and community working as a welder. Richie was involved with Meals on Wheels and was a member of Eagle Scout Troop 210.
He loved spending time at Myrtle Beach, especially body surfing, and enjoyed kayaking whenever he could. Above all, Richie cherished his friends and family—wherever they were, that’s where he wanted to be.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Aaron Bryan King; a brother, Kerry Neal King (Theresa); a sister, Pamela Elaine Marshall; a niece, Kalli Garrick (Austin); and two nephews, Jake Marshall and Wesley King (Kayla).
