Richard Ray (Ricky) Lyda, 55, of 212 Amanda Drive, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Anderson, SC, he was a son of Rosa Lee Bearden Lyda of Central and the late Clarence R. Lyda. Ricky was a former employee with the Ellison Plant of Alice Manufacturing and was a member of the Twin Lakes and Mile Creek Bass Clubs. He was a member of Freedom Fellowship.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Nancy Ruth Stroud Lyda of the home; son Brandon (Nicole) Lyda of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother, Ronald "Monk" (Wanda) Lyda of Central; grandchildren, Becca and Gracie Lusk and Abby Lyda.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by a brother, Randy Lyda and children, Terri, Jeremy, Steven and Justin. .
Funeral services will be 3:30 PM, Sunday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Campbell officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
