Richard Henry Rose, 82, husband of the late Joanne Raffensperger Rose, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, to the late Harold and Rhoda Berrien Rose, Richard was a graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, PA, and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Rose was a Systems Analyst who enjoyed working with and writing his own computer programs. He loved watching movies, reading, having bible studies, and visiting with his family. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenville.
Surviving are a son, Douglas Rose (Connie) of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters, Kathryn Decker (Charles), and Melinda Kasko, both of Easley; and three grandchildren: Zachary Rose, and Benjamin and Lauren Kasko.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. A private burial will be at a later date in Paramus, NJ.
A visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
The family members are at their respective homes.
