Richard Lee Springer, 68, husband of Cathryn Horne Springer of 114 South Shore Drive died Friday, February 15, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Buckhannon, WV, he was the son of the late Dana and Hazel Duke Springer of Hacker Valley, WV. He was a supervisor at Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron, OH for 21 years. He was a US Marine Veteran and an expert marksman. He attended the University of Akron. He enjoyed boating, volunteer work and spending time with family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters Suzanne Bradcovich and her fiancee John Bozick of Hartville, OH, Pamela Syx and her husband Roger of Venice, FL and 5 grandchildren, James, Veronica, Charles, Preston and Nicholas.
Memorial services will be Monday at 2pm in the chapel at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
