Richard Swann, 81, of Easley, South Carolina, husband of Teri Swann, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Born in Bedford, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace Swann. A hardworking man with a big heart, he spent over 30 years as an independent trucker, dedicating his career to the trucking industry in Canada and California. Richard and Teri cherished their time on the beautiful Central Coast of California, where they created many wonderful memories before retiring to Easley, South Carolina, in 2019.
He was married to Teri for 21 wonderful years, sharing countless memories, including their regular date nights at Sharp Shooters. Together, they cherished their time with their beloved mini Dachshund. Richard had a deep love for cigars, Chevy and GM trucks, and enjoyed connecting with friends, family, and neighbors. His warmth and work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Chris Swann (Leanne), Mike Swann (Rob), and David Swann (Kelsey), grandsons, Brandt and Rory; a daughter in heart, Wendy (Don) grandaughter, Samantha; a sister, Patricia Swann and brother, Ron Swann (Janice).
The family will hold services at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church at a later date.
