Richard S. Thomas, Sr., 74, of Rivers Edge Drive, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Union City, PA, a son of the late Ralph and Ruth May Hanna Thomas, Mr. Thomas retired from Sears after thirty-one years of service. He was of the Methodist faith and served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Karen Henderson Thomas; also a son, Richard S. Thomas, Jr., of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Kristiana Simmerman of Liberty, and Kelly Blitch of Summerville; a brother, Daniel Thomas of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Donna Corbett of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Susan Steinberg of Boca Raton, FL; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Thomas was formerly from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the residence.
