Ricky Dwayne Childress, 53, of 132 Long Creek Drive and husband of 37 years to Phyllis Howe Childress, passed away Wednesday September 15, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Childress was born in Greenville, SC, a son of the late Frank and Marie Durham Childress. He was a former employee of W.R. Grace Company and a member of West End Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Rickey D. Childress, Jr. (Michelle), David Childress and Daniel Childress (Mandy), all of Easley; two brothers, Bobby Childress (Linda), of Greenville and Frank Childress, Jr. (Linda), of Easley; a sister, Linda Burrell (Charlie), of Seneca and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at West End Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Jack Connelly officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Friday at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
The family is at the home.
