Robert Joseph Adam

Robert Joseph Adam, 77, of Farmingdale, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his son’s home in Easley, South Carolina under the care of Hospice of The Foothills.

Robert was born in New York, New York, the son of the late William Joseph Adam and the late Helen Auricchio Adam. He was a graduate of Bergen Catholic High School. He then received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Robert had a successful career as a National Sales Manager with Degussa - Huls.

Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, target shooting and traveling. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Robert became a father figure in several children’s lives over the years. To know him was to love him and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Left to cherish his many wonderful memories are his wife of 52 years, Susan; his daughter, Linda and David Esquenazi; his son, Kenneth and Bridget Adam; two sisters, Mary Ann Tunstead and Susan Adam; and his four grandchildren, Daniel, Olivia, and Blake Esquenazi and Emily Adam.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.

Robert had a positive impact on so many people’s lives over the years and he will be remembered for years to come.  The memory of him cooking Sunday gravy will be missed by his family.
