Robert Addington, Jr.

Robert Henry Addington, Jr., 84, of 3705 Highway 153, husband of the late Elizabeth Richey Addington, died Monday, January 7, 2008, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Robert Henry Addington, Sr., and the late Gladys Finley Addington, Mr. Addington retired as a heating and air conditioning technician and later, along with his late wife, Elizabeth, owned and operated the 153 Rental Park. He was a 1940 graduate of Easley High School, and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army Air Corps. Mr. Addington was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Darlene A. Pulliam and husband, Gary of Fairfax Station, VA, and Reba Kapp Looney and husband, William, of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Lois Craigo of Mount Pleasant and Kimberly Ward Rodgers of Mauldin; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Amy, Lydia, Rachel, Rebecca, Kathryn and Kimberly; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, Easley, with Rev. Joel Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Veteran's Garden of Honor of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
