Robert Lee Allen, Sr., 82, died Monday, January 9, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, the son of the late Tom Watson and Hattie Estelle Smith Allen, Mr. Allen was employed in the construction industry and was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Maranatha Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are his wife, Annie Pace Allen of the home; a son, Robert Lee Allen, Jr., and his wife, Pamela, of Greenville; three daughters, Sherry A. Clardy and Bobbi Lynn Ferguson, both of Greenville, and Kimberly Lane Albaugh, and her husband, Steve, of Lawton, OK; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Allen was predeceased by three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, with Rev. Clyde Bishop and Rev. Robert Allen, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence, 124 Shubuta Drive, Greenville, SC 29617.
Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, is assisting the family with arrangements.
