Reverend Robert L. Babcock

Reverend Robert Lynne Babcock, 83, husband of Jacqueline Conroy Babcock, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020.
Born in Lansing, Michigan, Robert was the ninth son of the late Harland Babcock and the late Sybil Sutherland Babcock. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed nature, reading, football, baseball, riding his bike, spending time with his family, and reading the Bible.
He ministered in the Baptist faith for 34 years, during which he helped establish churches, church building programs, and mission work, as well as teaching in three bible colleges. "Papa," as he was known to his 6 grandchildren, was a kind, loving man who showed them the love of God through the years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 61 years are a son, John Robert Babcock (Sandra) of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Beverly Gunter (Vic) of Piedmont, Brenda Babcock of Piedmont, and Barbara Tuttle (Jeff) of Altoona, Iowa; and grandchildren, Abbey Sindt (Andrew), Jordan Tuttle, Taylor Babcock (Rachel), Bradley Gunter, Robert Mitchell Gunter (Amber), and Joshua Babcock.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, August 14th, 2020, at the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens. The service will be limited to no more than 50 people, including family and staff members. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
The family will receive friends from 10am until 10:45am Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Visitors will be able to speak with the family in intervals of no more than four people at this time.
