Robert Joseph Back, 81, of 123 Terrace Meadows Drive and husband of Joan DiFiore Back, died Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Anderson, SC.
Born in White Plains, NY, he was a son of the late William Anthony and Claire Adelede Finn Back. He was a retired Sales Manager with H.O. Penn Construction Company in Newington, CT. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Seneca, SC.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Brian David Back of Boston, MA and Jeffrey Andrew (Amy)Back of Sugar Hill, GA, two daughters, Cheryl Ann (Scott) Streiber of Woodstock, GA; Carolyn Diane (Claudio) Cappuccio of Byfield, MA; and a grandfather of five.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, William Francis Back and two sisters, Claire and Margaret.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Seneca, SC.
Visitation will be following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
