Robert "Bob" Rivers

Robert “Bob” Simon Rivers, 81, loving husband of Sharon Devine Rivers, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Born in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Simon Leo Rivers and Eva Spencer Rivers. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army and is a dedicated member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Easley, SC.

Bob retired as a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist after many years of helping those in the community.

Bob was known for his meticulous nature, particularly in his garden where every blade of grass and flower was treated with the utmost care. He had an innate talent for landscaping, transforming spaces into beautiful sanctuaries that reflected his love for nature. His neighbors admired not only his lush gardens but also his unwavering commitment to maintaining them, often seeing him with a smile as he tended to his plants.

He found great joy in golfing, where he distinguished himself not just by his skills on the course, but by the camaraderie he fostered with fellow golfers. His outgoing personality made him a beloved figure in the community, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a heartfelt laugh with those around him.

A talented cook, Bob was the heart of many gatherings, where he delighted friends and family with his culinary creations. He took immense pleasure in preparing meals that brought loved ones together, sharing stories and creating memories that would be cherished for years to come.

Bob's adventurous spirit extended beyond his kitchen. He found joy in driving his sports car, the wind in his hair and the open road ahead calling to him. His love for travel, especially with his devoted wife by his side, infused his life with both excitement and tranquility. Together, they explored new horizons and created a wealth of shared experiences, each trip further deepening their bond.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Linden, and sisters, Gail Rivers and Marlene Gasbarre (Sam).

In addition to his wife of 43 years, he is survived by daughter; Robin Marie Rivers (Ken); son, Jason Robert Rivers (Katrina); four grandchildren, Meghan, Sydney, Mhari and Quin; sisters, Judy Volland (Dr. Lawrence), Dawn Huey (Ron) and Pat Barnes (Mike), and special goddaughter, Kaitlin Rose Christian.

The funeral mass will be held on Friday April 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at 2:30 PM in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
