Robert "Bob" Sanford Smith, 74, husband of Rhonda Moore Smith, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022.

Born in Monroe, NC, he was a son of the late Roy Sanford and Amanda Allen Smith of Pageland, SC.

Bob graduated from Pageland High School and later received his Associate's Degree from Wingate College and his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University. He proudly served with the U.S. Air Force and later retired from Cryovac Sealed Air after over 30 years.

He loved God and his family above everything and was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church. He also loved Clemson football and being outdoors; cycling, golfing, hiking, canoeing, or kayaking. Bob had an infectious smile that lit up the room and was loved by everyone he met.

In addition to his loving wife of 47 years, Bob is survived by daughters, Brooke Moore (Benjamin) of Greenville and Kim Mims (Damon) of Simpsonville; a brother, Roy Allen Smith of Wilmington, NC; and a granddaughter, Katherine Leigh Mims.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Mauldin United Methodist Church, 100 E. Butler Road, Mauldin, SC 29662.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the church.
