Robert Herbert "R.H." Bobbitt

Robert Herbert (R.H.) Bobbitt, 82, went to be with Lord on Thursday evening, January 2, 2020.

He was born in Sanford, NC to parents James and Cornelia Bobbitt. He was preceded in death by sisters, Betsy Hamilton and LaVerna Clapp and a brother, Jim Bobbitt.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Bobbitt; two sons, Jim Bobbitt (Amber) in Palm Coast, FL and Michael Bobbitt (Emily) in Greenville, SC; and 3 grandchildren, Melanie, Morgan and Lucas.

R.H. was a loving husband and caring father who was known for his broad and playful sense of humor. He was active in his sons' activities such as the Boy Scouts and Wren Athletics. He has been an involved member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Seekers Bible Fellowship Class. R.H. was a Disabled American Veteran and had a talent for repairing nearly anything that needed repair. He enjoyed Western and Musical films, Western books and a well-maintained lawn. He was a skilled carpenter with an eye towards absolute precision and he was never late for any event.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.

In Lieu of Flowers the family asks the memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans at DAV.org.
