Born in Dacusville, he was a son of the late Paul Bryan and Lena Ray Cavenaugh Borroughs. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, worked as a truck driver and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Surviving are five brothers, Ray Boroughs of Old Town, FL, Durwood Boroughs of Pelzer, SC, Boyce Boroughs of Live Oak, FL, Paul Boroughs of Wilmington, NC, Sam Boroughs of Dalton, GA; and a sister, Amelia Loftis of Live Oak, FL.
