Robert Kenneth Brewer

Robert Kenneth Brewer, 89, of 1600 18 Mile Creek, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Seneca Health and Rehab in Seneca.
Robert was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Samuel K. and Etta Bell Brewer. He retired after 38 years from Clemson University and was a USArmy veteran of WWII. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are one daughter, Peggy Rothell of Easley; two sons, Wayne Brewer and wife, Fran of Central and Mike Brewer and wife, Nancy of Clemson; grandchiildren, Missy and Adam Cox, Christy and Steven Sydow, Dale Porter, Deena and Carl Gossett, Robbie and Liz Brewer, Stacy and Jody Whitaker; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Stancil Brewer; brothers, Sam, Clarence, Raymond, Joe and Rex Brewer; and sisters, Ollie Mae Swaney and Nellie Hayes.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
The sons will be at their respective homes, Peggy Rothell will be at the home of her son, Dale Porter 102 Dayce Street, Pickens, SC 29671.
