Robert Alvin Eckenrod, 47, of Easley, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, July 27, 2009.

Born in Athens, GA, he was the son of Ronnie M. and Lillian Cloud Eckenrod and a member of Sky Point Baptist Church of Travelers Rest.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother Ronnie "Bubba" Eckenrod and his wife Denise of Shreveport, LA; two sisters both of Morristown, TN, Bonnie Eckenrod, and Kelley Wilson and her husband, Gary; four nieces, Angie Grey, Amanda Wilson, Lilli Eckenrod and Jessica Eckenrod; one great niece, Sadie Grey; one great nephew, Jon Grey all of Morristown, TN; many special aunts and uncles; a close family friend, Grandma Jo Crutchfield; and many other special friends. Robert has been a blessing and an inspiration for all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the Reverend Scott Crutchfield officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.
