Robert M. Gerisch

Robert Michael Gerisch, 78, of Easley, left his earthly home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Robert was the son of Robert E. Gerisch, Jr. and Eldred Callahan Gerisch, and was predeceased by his wife Brenda Everette Gerisch.

He's survived by his wife, Lynne Skelton Gerisch and his children, Christy Hammond (Michael), Cindy Owens, Todd Wood (Michelle), and Scott Wood. Grandchildren, Dusty Owens, Carson Owens, Brendan Hammond, Ellyn Kate Wood, Caroline Wood, Abby Freels, Morgan Wood, Cassie Hortis, Lilly Hortis and Breece Hortis.

He is also survived by his brothers, Marlin Gerisch (Susan) Lewis Gerisch (Ruby) and Kent Gerisch (Peggy), his brother-in-law, Thoyce Everette and Jerry Skelton as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces, that he loved dearly.

Robert's career was in trucking, driving for over 50 years accident free. He retired from Duke Power in 1996, then drove an additional 12 years for Wigington Scrap Metal.

He was a member of Downtown Presbyterian Church and former Elder Emeritus at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Robert loved God, his family and the outdoors whether it was on the lake, in the woods, on the golf course or in the garden. He loved all creatures great and small.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road Chapel. A burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
