Robert Lowell Hall, 89, of 201 Carolyn Road, husband of Lorine Bagwell Hall, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Omega Health and Rehab.

Born May 24, 1922 in York County, Maine, he was the son of the late Carl and Wilda Mae Hutchins Hall.

Mr. Hall attended Biddeford High School, Biddeford, Maine. He was transferred to Greenville, South Carolina in 1956 and retired as an engineer from Saco-Lowell in 1985.

Mr. Hall was nominated for the John D. McArthur Award in the early 80�??s for his exceptional volunteerism. Sunday evenings would be dedicated to "patching" ham radio connections from the South American missionaries to the states. Mr. Hall was also chosen Rescuer of the Year 1981 by the Easley Rescue Squad.

Mr. Hall is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Lorine. He has two daughters: Pamela A Ellwood, Kings Mountain, NC, and Judith H. Singer, Hendersonville, NC: grandchildren: Elizabeth Jonell Curry (Ronnie Curry) of Greenville, SC; Gregory W. Ellwood, W. Hollywood, CA; and Courtney E. Gazaleh (Michael Gazaleh) of Hoboken, NJ; great-grandchildren: Jonell Leah and Phillip Mathis, Jr. Greenville, SC; and great-great-grandchildren: Greta E. Gazaleh, Hoboken, NJ, and Kaiya M.J. Drummond of Greenville, SC.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at New Image Outreach. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

The family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at New Image Outreach, 311 Anderson Hwy., Easley, SC 29642.
