Robert Edward Hinton Jr., 91, of 157 Hinton Road, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Laurel Hill Living Center.
Born in Easley, a son of the late Robert Elijah Hinton Sr. and Lula Rodgers Hinton. He was a retired employee of Platt-Saco Lowell, a cattle farmer, a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps, and a member of George's Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son Robert E. Hinton III and his wife Rebecca of Easley; four grandchildren, Sarah H. Flores, Erin Hinton, Mary Anne Hinton and Jerry Hinton. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Maca Lula Powell Hinton; three brothers, James H. Hinton, Frank W. Hinton and T. Ray Hinton; and two sisters, Sue Bright Bailes Wigington and Lou Ellen Gilstrap.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday at George's Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:30 AM till noon on Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to George's Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1991 Saluda Dam Road, Easley, SC 29640.
