Jerry Hunt

Robert Gerald "Jerry" Hunt, 58, of 401 Hunt Road, died Sunday, July 30, 2006, at his home.
Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Robert Edgar and Pauline White Hunt, Mr. Hunt was employed with Lindsay Oil Company and was the former owner of Hunt's Dairy. He was a member and deacon of Corinth Baptist Church and was the first fire chief of Three and Twenty Fire Department where he was a volunteer fire fighter for forty years.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Smith Hunt of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Kim Hunt of Easley; a daughter and son-in-law, Rene and Greg Brewer of Easley; a sister, Emma Jean Gilstrap of Easley; five grandchildren, Greg Brewer, Jr., Ashley Brewer, Johnny Brewer, Justin Hunt and Brooke Hunt.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Poteat, Rev. Troy Crain and Rev. Fred Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Members of the Three and Twenty Fire Department will serve as honorary escort.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
