Robert Harvey Keown, 73, husband of Jean Griffin Keown, of 101 Oakdale Lane, went to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, August 23, 2012.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Albert James and Annie Mae Raines Keown, Mr. Keown retired from Ortec, was a US Army Veteran and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of thirty-two years, are three sons, Bryan Keown of Suwanee, GA, Richard D. Wooten, III. of Richmond, VA and David Wooten of Easley; one daughter, Adrienne K. Davis of Suwanne, GA; two brothers, one sister and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Keown was predeceased by a sister.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown and will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM Sunday where the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
The family is at the residence.
