Robert “Bob” Eugene Lambour, 81, of Easley, SC, went home to be with his Lord on February 7, 2025, at his residence with his wife by his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Bob pursued a career in Mechanical Engineering, earning a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Kansas. He held a variety of roles at Exxon Mobile during his 36 years there until retiring in 2003.
He loved living in the upstate area of South Carolina and the many opportunities it provided to enjoy the outdoors. Bob also relished hiking to local waterfalls and exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains as an avid photographer, capturing the natural beauty and wildlife of the region that he shared with family and friends.
Bob adored animals, especially his canine friends, Bear, Oscar, and Duke, with whom he is now reunited. He also loved cars. He built his own race car for the drag strip and treasured the time he spent racing with his family and friends.
Most of his time was spent hiking with Sandy, watching his grandson J.D. play baseball, watching Clemson football games, and sharing stories that ended with a good laugh. His laugh was infectious, and he possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Family always came first, and he was incredibly proud of all of them.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kimmel Lambour, and his father, Cyril Lambour.
Along with his loving wife, Sandy Lambour, he is survived by a son, Rick Lambour; daughter, Robin Marcinko (Tom); granddaughter, Caitlin Lambour; two grandsons, Patrick Lambour and Joseph (J.D.) Marcinko; two sisters, Helen Cernoch and Mary Ann Braun Greer (Robert).
