Robert Nelson Lauerman, 78, of 102 Windward Court and husband of Joanne Hughes Lauerman died Friday, May 17, 2013 at AnMed Health in Anderson, SC.
Born in Weehawkin, NJ, he was a son of the late Charles Fredrick Lauerman and Ruth Heerlein Lauerman Westerfield. He was a retired machinist with The Jersey Journal in Jersey City, NJ. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post in Pendleton, SC. Robert was a member of Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church and was an avid Clemson University baseball and football fan. He was the resident handyman for Magnolia Point in Pendleton.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons; Gary Lauerman (Dawn) of South Bend, IN and Thomas Lauerman (Maria) of Rochelle Park, NJ; grandsons, Bradford, Kyle and Matthew Lauerman.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Westerfield Schmidt.
Memorial services will be 2 PM Thursday at Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Peggy Garland officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tomorrows Children, 30 Prospect Ave., Hackensack, NJ 07601.
