Robert L. Lollis, Jr., 64, departed this world on April 12, 2010, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Robert L. Lollis, Sr. and the late Addie Lee Stephens Lollis.
Mr. Lollis was a retired injection molder. He was a 1963 graduate of Easley High School and attended Clemson University and North Greenville University. He was a proud member of Easley High School's 1962 state championship football team. He was also a member of Providence Presbyterian Church, where he taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir.
Mr. Lollis is survived by two daughters, Paula Lollis and Jennifer Wilson of Easley; two grandchildren, Alex Wilson and Emily Wilson of Easley; four sisters, Joan Smith, Carol Swafford and Susan Stegall of Easley and Linda Williams of Lugoff; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Melony Fortner.
A memorial service will be held at Providence Presbyterian Church on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bob Lollis Columbarium Fund, c/o Providence Presbyterian Church, 4000 Highway 153, Greenville, SC 29611.
