Mr. Robert "Bobby" Amos Looper, 83, husband of Illa Lee Guthrie Looper, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, February 25, 2021.
Born in Pickens County, the son of the late Amos Matthew Looper and the late Venoy Raxter Looper, Mr. Looper was employed with J.P. Stevens Slater Plant for twenty-two years and retired from Engineered Products. He was a member of Nine Forks Baptist Church and the Cooper Masonic Lodge #282 AFM.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty years, are his son, Robert Dale Looper of Easley; his daughter, Tammy Looper Worsham (Melvin) of Easley; a sister, Glenda Julian (Dennis) of Marietta; three grandchildren, Christopher Worsham, Samantha Baker (Nathan), and Hope Smith (Keith); four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Wyatt, Asher and Natalie; and a special friend, Rodney Galloway. In addition to his parents, Mr. Looper was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Vandy Looper; and two sisters, Dorothy Harris and Betty Crain.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Nine Forks Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Sunday at the church, prior to the service.
