Mr. Robert Lee "Bob" Maier, 86, of Easley, loving husband of Catherine Fowler Maier, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.
Bob was born in Bronx, NY on December 15, 1928 to the late John Maier and Maude Fuller Maier. He worked for McGraw-Hill Publishing for 25 years before moving to Florida and working for a Lumber Company. He retired as a sales manager from SATCO electric company and in his free time he loved to golf, fish, and travel. Bob especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his loving wife of 65 years, Bob is survived by a daughter; Patricia Pettigrew (Dr. Neal), of Blue Hill, Maine; five sons; Robert F. Maier (Debbie), of Easley; Richard Maier (Patsy), of Russell Springs, KY; Christopher Maier (Elaine), of Forest City, NC; Matthew Maier (Carol), of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and Stephen Maier (Jessica), of Beaufort, NC; a brother; Raymond; and a sister; Barbara. Bob is also survived by eight grandchildren; Sarah, Courteney, Emily, Mark, Laura, Jason, Jennifer, Michael, Bobby, Josh, Christopher, Nicholas, Andrew, and Jimmy; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a Brother; John; and two sisters; Dorothy and Dellie.
A memorial service is being planned and will be announced soon.
