Robert "Bob" Markett, 90, formerly of Easley, died Wednesday September 26, 2007 at Blue Ridge Rehab and Healthcare Center in Asheville, NC.
Mr Markett was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of the late George Peter and Blanche Marsh Markett. He was a self-employed tax accountant , a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, and a former member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Adcox Alewine Markett, of Asheville, NC ; two step-daughters and their husbands, Joan and Al Kirk, Sheilta and the Reverend Robbie Little, all of Pickens ; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Rod R. Roper.
Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Greenlawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Reverend Robbie Little.
Family members are at their respective homes.
