Robert Matthew Brewer

Robert "Bob" Matthew Brewer, 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those he loved most.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Andrew Jack Brewer and Edna Page Brewer. Robert attended Carolina High School and later graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies. He worked for many years as a warehouse manager with Dealer’s Supply Company.

Robert enjoyed playing golf, trips to the mountains and the beach, and any chance to turn a moment into a good laugh—he was a bit of a jokester by nature. He especially loved time spent with his family, whether it was gatherings at home, playing cards and games, or going out to eat—Fuddruckers was a favorite. A devoted family man, he adored his daughter and grandson, and he held a special place in his heart for his many nieces and nephews. He was a faithful member of Greenville Evangelistic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bishop Brewer; his daughter, Jordan Brewer Ellenburg (Anthony); a grandson, Alexander Ellenburg; two brothers, Jack Brewer, Jr. (Terrie) and Joe Brewer (Susan); nieces and nephews, Jason Brewer (Dianne), Haley Brewer (Christa), Steven Bishop (Stacy), Shannon Whitehead (Roger), Stacy Lund (Joe), Shawn Carpenter (Heather), and Kristen Norton (Ryan); and thirteen great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Sunday, May 31, at Greenville Evangelistic Church. The service will follow at 3:00 PM at the church.
