Robert Joseph Morris

Mr. Robert Joseph Morris, 49, of Easley, husband to Lisa Renee Bishop Morris, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2016.

Born July 1, 1967 in Norfolk, VA to Felicia Deanna Smith Ayers and the late Harvey Lindeholme Morris.  

He graduated from John Yeates High School in Suffolk, VA in 1985.   He was disabled after years of service as a computer technician and former retail manager of a gourmet organic grocery store.

Mr. Morris was a member of New Beginnings Church in Pickens for six years.   He loved spending time with his grandchildren and he was a wonderful grandfather.   He was a deep, intellectual thinker, who enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and cooking.   He always would do something for someone else, including offer the shirt off of his own back to help.

In addition to his father, Mr. Morris was predeceased by his father-in-law, Rev. Charles Bishop.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 11 years and his mother; sons, Kyle Morris (Hannah Crawford) of Pickens, Cory Newton of Easley, and Cody Newton (Emily Cisson) of Pickens; daughters, Sarah Swords and Amy Morris both of Easley; sisters, Donna Franklin (Charles) of Windsor, VA, and Evelyn Thompson (Jason) of Suffolk, VA; dad, Gary Ayers; mother-in-law, Betty Bishop; grandchildren, Angel, Lily, Colton, and one grandson on the way.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 11th at 2:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley with Rev. Stewart Hendricks officiating.   Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Morris' family will be at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made directly to New Beginnings Church, PO Box 1315, Pickens, SC 29671-1315.
