Robert Benson Peek, 78, husband of Hazel Holmes Peek, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Oconee Medical Center. A native of Pickens County he was the son of the late Sollie and Mary Green Peek.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons: Williard Gillespie and wife Pauline of Easley, Douglas and Toney Peek of Central; daughter: Nancy Edwards of Central; sister, Rosa Lee Chastain of Central, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. The family is at the residence, 620 Old Shirley Road, Central, SC 29630.
