Mr. Robert Lee Swiney, Jr., 90, husband of the late Kathryn Forbis Swiney, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Burlington, NC, a son of the late Robert Lee Swiney, Sr. and the late Alyce Gray Kelley Swiney, Mr. Swiney retired from Duke Power and was a member of Woodside Church of God. He was a US Navy Veteran having served during WWII.

Surviving are his children, Sherry Cain, Mike Swiney and Ronn Swinney; grandchildren, Brannigan Bellamy and Rick Cain; and great-grandchildren, Arianna, Savannah, Jayden and Rae. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Swiney was predeceased by a daughter, Iris Yvonne Swiney; a brother, Lyman Collins; and two sisters, Elaine Cox and Eva Flynn.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Woodside Church of God with Pastor Wallace Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
