Robert Wyatt Tinsley, 81, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Zack Robert and Lila Nolan Tinsley, Mr. Tinsley retired from the textile industry and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Gassaway Tinsley; a son, Bobby Tinsley and wife, Carol; a daughter, Kim Lappin and husband, Daniel; a brother and two sisters; four grandchildren, Nate and Jake Tinsley, Ben Lappin and wife, Kristen, and Matthew Lappin and wife, Ashley; and four great-grandchildren, Luke, James, Haley and Aubrey Lappin; and an expected great-grandchild due in August. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tinsley was predeceased by a sister.
Mr. Tinsley loved and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Richard Banks for the special care and loving friendship they provided during Wyatt's extend illness.
