Robert E. (Bob) Todd

Robert Ezra (Bob) Todd, 83, husband of Lana Todd of Seneca, SC, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC.

Bob was born in Margaretville, NY, a son of the late Ezra Harold and Stella Shurika Todd.

He was a graduate of Fleischmann’s High School where he was a star athlete in baseball, basketball & soccer, earning athlete of the year three years in a row. In one baseball game, he hit four home runs, three from one side of the plate and one from the other side. He was invited to try out for the NY Mets even though he was an avid NY Yankee fan. Bob was a US Army veteran and served two tours in Vietnam with the First Division “Big Red One”. He came home from Vietnam after developing malaria, weighing 125 lbs.

Bob worked with Kaiser Aluminum for 24 years and retired from AFLAC. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clemson where he served as an usher and enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia, running, playing tennis, traveling and following the NY Yankees.

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Bob was survived by a son Douglas Todd, and his wife, Michelle of Powdersville, SC; grandson, Daniel Todd; and sisters, Ginny Short of Highmount, NY and Barbara Delmont and her husband, Larry of Victorville, CA.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Richard Todd; and sisters, June Ennist and Carol Dilg.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Clemson, 397 College Ave, Clemson, SC 29631, with Rev. Dr. Rusty Brock officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center of the church.
