Robert E. "Poppi" Volk, 74, of 112 North Seventh Street, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at his home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Theodore Richard and Loretta Rindge Volk, Mr. Volk retired as a home repairman and was a member of the Easley Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the US Coast Guard.

Surviving are his wife, Esther Hannah Rothman Volk of Easley; daughters, Tamara Pace of Easley, Kerry-Lee Volk-Smith (Mike) of Central Islip, NY; and Angie Soulsby (Johnny) of Easley; a sister, Carol Clark of Florida; and two grandchildren, Cody Pace and Tori Pace. In addition to his parents, Mr. Volk was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Mihle.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson with Rev. Christie Gravely officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615 or to Moose Lodge #2219, 121 Mauldin Road, Easley, SC 29640.

The family is at the residence.
