Robert Charles "Sonny" Williams

Robert Charles "Sonny" Williams, 83, husband of the late Edith JoAnn Cooley Williams, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Born in Piqua, OH, he was a son of the late Albert C. Williams and the late Lilian Christina Allen Williams. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed fishing, golfing, classic cars, and spending time with his family. Sonny retired from from Leori Dresser as a machinist after many years of service and he attended Mountain Springs Baptist Church in Piedmont.

Mr. Williams is survived by a son, Mike L. Williams (Kimmie) of Easley; grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Anderson (Josh), Timothy Ryan Mullen (Ashley), and Joseph Gavin Moore; great-grandchildren, Anna Grace and Madeline Grey Anderson, Ryleigh Belle and Magnolia Grace Bastedo, and Serenity Johnston-Burress; and a brother, Ron Williams (Annie) of Covington, OH.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by sons, Roger Allen Williams and Theodore Allen Williams; and a sister, Georgia Staeger.
