Roberta Boland

Roberta Thomas Boland, 65, of 101 Joan Drive, wife of the late Robert A. Boland, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Hyndman, PA, a daughter of the late Edward E. and Sarah Custer Thomas, Mrs. Boland was a homemaker and an avid hiker. She, along with her late husband, where former owners of the Bantam Chef in Liberty. She was a member of the Greenville Hiking Club and the Botnay Park Ladies Club and was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Tami Brady and her husband, Steve, of Greensboro, GA, and Beverly Slowe of Easley; four sisters, Effie Brown of Buffalo, NY, Eleanor Stair of Hyndman, PA, Shelby Gable and her husband, John, of Cresaptown, MD, and Leetta Smith, and her husband, Ron, of Depew, NY; two granddaughters, Tabitha Capps and her husband, Russell, and Deanna Brady; a brother-in-law, Eugene Boland of Williamston, NC; a sister-in-law, Paula Brofius of Tonawanda, NY; aunts, Alma Custer of Hyndman, PA, and Hazel Farr of San Antonia, TX; four nieces and five nephews, and many cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Boland was predeceased by a daughter, Deanna Boland.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Joe Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Comps Cemetery in Hyndman, PA.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family is at the residence.
