Roger A. Brown, 72, of Central, husband of Theresa Sharp Brown, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Greenville, SC July 15, 1951, the son of Waymon Fulton Brown and Louise Dillard Brown.

Roger received a Bachelor’s degree from Garner-Webb University and enjoyed his career as a teacher both at Dacusville Middle School and R. C. Edwards Middle School. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Clemson football fan.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Theresa; a stepson, Stacy Stocks and his fiancée Jennnifer Savage, of Central; a brother, Michael Brown of Traveler’s Rest; two step grandchildren, Emma Stocks, and Megan McCall and her husband, Breman;  Five nephews: Ben Riddle, Allen and John Stocks, Cory Brown and Waymon Brown III; and one niece, Anna Norieja.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jane Riddle; a brother, Waymon Brown, Jr.; and a stepson, Steve Stocks.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 9th at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, in Central. The Family will receive friends following the service.
