Mr. Roger Dale Chastain, Sr., 62, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Hallmark Healthcare Center, Summerville, SC.

Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Harold Clayton Chastain and the late Mildred Marjorie Gossett Chastain, Mr. Chastain retired from the City of Easley.

Surviving are two sons, Roger Dale Chastain, Jr. and Jason Leroy Chastain, both of Pickens; two daughters, Sonya Reahard (Chris) of Summerville, SC, and Frances Black of Greenville; four brothers, Donnie Chastain of Liberty, David Chastain of Easley, James Chastain of Six Mile and Walter Chastain of Pendleton; two sisters, Lynn Barnes of Six Mile and Susan Edmond of Easley; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chastain was predeceased by a sister, Elaine Smith.

Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at United Wesleyan Church, Easley.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Family members are at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, 1629 E. North Street, Greenville, SC 29607.
